How You Can Make a Difference
lapalomakids.org is a non-profit child welfare agency which has been providing
services to at risk kids and their families for nearly thirty years.
In the last few years the agency has made efforts to reach out in order to familiarize
others with the services the agency provides and seeks support for its programs.
The idea is to provide the children served with resources to help overcome the
many factors that bring them into the child welfare system. These resources range
from direct services such as room and board, clothing, counseling, and educational
support. This includes tuition and living expenses for children who are currently
in or have recently left the child welfare system.
Endowment program opportunities are available in order to provide scholarships
for children’s education including involvement in technical education and the arts.
Support in this area would include the purchase of equipment, uniforms, art, and
musical instruments necessary in order for a child to be successful in whatever
academic pursuit they may have.
La Paloma is looking for both direct and indirect supporters. These supporters,
individual or corporate, have the ability to provide a positive and a specific measurable
difference in the lives of these children and young adults.
