Foster Care Program
The Foster Care Program provides care for abused and neglected children from 0 to 18 years of age. Foster parents are an integral part of the La Paloma continuum of services. Parents and staff will work together as equal partners to help our kids build successful and productive lives. Foster parents can provide the following types of care:
- Regular Foster Care
- Respite Care
- Foster to Adopt
- Kinship Care
La Paloma recruits families, facilitates the initial licensure process, and provides on-going support to licensed homes. La Paloma licensed foster homes will be offered respite care, foster parent support group, support groups for teenage foster children, advance training opportunities, in-home services, as well as consultations by a licensed psychiatrist, psychologist, and behavioral health counselor. Every family will be assigned to a caring, foster care licensing specialist, available to them for support, guidance, and advocacy.
