Therapeutic Foster Care

The La Paloma Family Services Therapeutic Foster Care Program licenses individuals as Professional Foster Parents to provide therapeutic-level services to children with moderate to severe behavioral, mental health, and emotional issues.

Individuals seeking to be Professional Foster Parents must complete a total of 96 training hours to obtain their license.

Professional Foster Parents work with the La Paloma Therapeutic Foster Care Program team which includes Master’s level Therapists and Behavior Management Specialists.

Professional Foster Parents receive ongoing training and support from the La Paloma Family Services Therapeutic Foster Care Program staff to enable them to work effectively with the therapeutic-level children placed in their home.
