In Home Services Program
La Paloma’s In-Home Services Program provides support, rehabilitation, and counseling
services to children and adolescents enrolled in the behavioral health networks,
and their family members. These community-based services are designed to help children
stay in their own home with family, a foster family, or in a DES licensed group
home rather than a behavioral health out-of-home placement. These services are driven
by the strengths, needs, and cultural preferences of the client, as determined by
the Child and Family Team. The services provided through the In-Home Services Program
are taken directly off of the client’s current service plan created by the CFT.
The specific services and the nature of the services provided, including intensity,
type, duration, and frequency are tailored to fit the unique needs of the client
and client’s family. The services are flexible and provided on an as-needed basis.
La Paloma recognizes the need for flexible schedules in providing these services
to clients and their families, and therefore can arrange for staff to be available
24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Additionally, La Paloma recognizes the usefulness in providing these services
to clients and their families in a home environment or in the community whenever
requested. As it is preferable to work with families in their primary language,
La Paloma has some capacity to provide support and rehabilitation services in Spanish.
Support and rehabilitation services are provided by a behavioral health professional,
behavioral health technician, or a behavioral health paraprofessional. Behavioral
Health Counseling Services are provided by a behavioral health professional or a
qualified behavioral health technician.
