Alcohol and Other Drug Support Group

The Alcohol and Other Drug Support Group is a support outlet for La Paloma Family Services’ clients to attend on a weekly basis. Clients have a choice in attendance, participation, and commitment. Therefore, they are not required to attend group if they do not want to. The AOD Support Group is complimentary to the agency’s implementation of Choice Therapy as a theoretical approach, in that it challenges youth to make thoughtful decisions for themselves about alcohol and other drugs. Weekly groups focus on relevant topics, supportive activities, and the development of healthy, positive relationships.
