Respite Care Program
Respite Care is a program that provides short-term care for children and adolescents that are enrolled in a behavioral health agency.
The youth that participate in Respite Care are usually at home with their parents or in a therapeutic foster care setting and may be placed for a short time (i.e. a weekend), in a separate therapeutic foster care home or group home to participate in skills training and development.
Respite care also provides the child or adolescent with a short break from their current living arrangement in order to focus on themselves and gain skills that would be beneficial to them.
